This is our new BLOG, a way of communicating on-line. I love being able to use new tools to create a wider variety of innovation! The photos above are of ~Curly the Clown,~ who came to our Kindergarten classroom to celebrate a ~Magical~ Merry Christmas! As you can see from the photos, it was a wonderful time, and the children loved it!
The children were so excited to be back in school last week, and they amazed me at how much they have grown! I know a couple of weeks does not seem like a long time, but truly, I have seen so much social growth in each and every one of them:) I am sad to say that two(2)of our students moved over the Christmas holiday, but we gained two(2) new students as well! The children are very helpful to our new children, helping them with polite manners, and being very caring to them!
As for our studies, we will contine working on the letter of the week through the second week of April. The letters for January are: I, J, D, and Q. We are also going to start doing science experiments starting next week! As for Mathematics, we will focus on writing our numbers, working with sets, and start adding some single-digit numbers. Our letter of the week is J, and we will be working with the sound of the letter Jj, making many things with gingerbread! Ms. Weatherly will be here for Art Class on Wednesday, and we will be drawing or painting Gingerbread Cookies, and as for cooking this week, we will be decorating Gingerbread cookies!
I want to THANK YOU for helping children with their homework, and making sure it is handed in every Monday. Homework is so important because it is repetitous of what we have learned, and it gives you the opportunity to see these skills, and how your children understands them. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
We would love to go on a field trip, so if anyone has any great ideas, please let me know:) Please feel free to post to this BLOG! I would love to see your thoughts and ideas!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Bachman
